The voltage supply is rated at 220/230 volts (in some bathrooms and older buildings 110/120 volts).

Motorways 120km/h (75mph)
Dual carriageways 100km/h
Country roads 90km/h

Seatbelts must be worn at all times.
Fuel prices are similiar to the UK and some service stations are definitely not self-service.
The usual grades of fuel are available - sin plomo (unleaded, 95 or 98 octane) and gasoleo or gasoil (diesel).

Taxis
Only use taxis that display a licence issued by the local authority.
Taxis show a green light when available for hire.
In cities and towns, taxis are metered. Where they are not, determine the price beforehand.
